The Balthasar Neumann orchestra (Balthasar-Neumann-Ensemble) is to perform in Alicante as part of the programme of the Sociedad de Conciertos de Alicante (Alicante Concert Society), according to Alicante Plaza. It is the orchestra's first appearance in that programme. The concert starts at 20:00 on Wednesday 4 November 2026 at Teatro Principal de Alicante.

The evening is devoted entirely to Johann Sebastian Bach. The announced soloists are violinist Daniel Sepec, viola player Pablo de Pedro, cellist Christoph Dangel, double bassist Nicola del Maso, harpsichordist Jeremy Joseph and trumpeter Moritz Görg.

The orchestra was founded in 1995 by the conductor Thomas Hengelbrock. It plays on period instruments, following documented historical criteria. Its repertoire runs from early Baroque works to the 20th century, and it has won several ECHO-Klassik prizes and a Gramophone Award.

The source does not say which Bach works will be played, who will conduct, how much tickets cost or where to buy them.
