Updated 3 November 2026, 17:21. Dénia's latest shopping voucher scheme (bono consumo) is under way, according to La Marina Plaza. Downloads for all residents, not just older people, opened on Tuesday 3 November at 09:00. A separate download for people aged over 65 only took place a week earlier.

The first morning round for residents of Dénia's urban area (casco urbano) was snapped up in under half an hour. By 09:28 the only vouchers left were those for Jesús Pobre. The second round for Dénia residents is today, 3 November, from 15:00. The reports do not say how many vouchers have been issued, whether the second round has sold out, or exactly where to download them.

The scheme's budget is €517,294 in Dénia and €38,109 in Jesús Pobre, funded by the Alicante provincial council (Diputación). Each person can receive vouchers worth up to €120, to spend at participating businesses in Dénia and Jesús Pobre. To take part you must have been 18 or over on the day the scheme began, be registered on the padrón (town hall residents' register) in Dénia or Jesús Pobre, and hold a valid NIF (tax number) or NIE (foreigner identity number).

There are two options: four vouchers of €10, €20, €40 and €50 (no more than one of each value, and you do not have to take them all), or a single €120 voucher. The purchase must be worth at least twice the voucher's value, so a €20 voucher can be used on a purchase of €40 or more. One person can combine several of their own vouchers in a single purchase, but vouchers belonging to different people cannot be pooled.

Vouchers from the first issue are valid until 25 November 2026. A second-chance issue (repesca) of unused vouchers starts on 26 November at 09:00, and those second-wave vouchers will be valid until 9 December.

A total of 113 Dénia businesses are taking part, although the sector figures in the La Marina Plaza list add up to 114. Fashion and accessories has the most outlets (26), followed by opticians (11) and technology and electronics (10). Participants include one toy shop (Toy Planet), two bookshop/stationers (Librería Publics and Papelería Oeste) and five driving schools.
