Dénia is among the municipalities covered by the decree of the regional government (Generalitat) on aid for damage caused by DANA Adam (a DANA is a cut-off low bringing torrential rain), according to Dénia Town Hall. For damage to property and essential belongings, the aid is up to €6,000 in a permanent home and up to €3,000 in a non-permanent home (vivienda no habitual). Where people have to move out (realojo), up to €800 a month is available towards renting another home, for a maximum of 12 months.
Applications open at 09:00 on Monday 2 November and close at 23:59 on 1 February 2027. You can apply online through the Generalitat's online portal (sede electrónica), or in person at the registers of the citizen service offices (oficinas de atención ciudadana) in the affected municipalities. You can also apply at PROP offices, but only with an appointment (cita previa) booked on the Generalitat website. The sources name Dénia's municipal register among the in-person options.
You will need ID details, a self-declaration of the damage (declaración responsable), a list of the damaged property, and details of any other benefits or compensation you have already received or requested. You must also give your case number (expediente) with the Consorcio de Compensación de Seguros (Spain's insurance compensation consortium) or with your insurer. If you have no policy, or you do not agree to the Consorcio being asked for your data, you must attach an expert report (informe pericial).
To claim rehousing aid you also need to prove the tenancy with a rental contract and show your rental costs. The decree sets out further conditions. You can also claim for vehicles that your insurer or the Consorcio has declared a total loss (siniestro total). The conditions are set out in Decree 173/2026 of 23 October, but the sources do not say how much this aid is.
The town hall can help identify the parts of Dénia hit by the bad weather, and can advise applicants by phone and email. It does not prepare expert reports on damage to private property. The Generalitat processes and assesses applications and decides on them. The town hall's role will follow instructions from the relevant regional department (conselleria) once the forms are published and the procedures are clarified.
Before applying, the town hall recommends reading the Generalitat's official information on the requirements and the full list of documents (the DOGV link is below). The sources do not give office addresses or opening hours, or how long applications and payments will take.
